The Department of Energy’s Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) Program

On November 14, 2023, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced up to $3.9 billion in available funding through the Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) Program for Fiscal Years 2024 and 2025. The GRIP Program aims to enhance grid flexibility and improve the resilience of the power system against growing threats of extreme weather and climate change. Counties are eligible to apply for funding under the program. Concept papers, which are the required first step in the application process, are due at 5pm ET on Friday, January 12.
